On February 14, the EU Commission released the long-awaited proposal on new truck emissions regulation. According to the Commission, these targets will help to reduce CO2 emissions in the transport sector. Moreover, the definition of Euro VII standard is underway and poses specific challenges.

If you are willing to get a clear picture of the topic, including insights and outlooks from relevant stakeholders (starting with key organizations such as UITP, ACEA, IRU, C40, Transport & Environment), don’t forget to sign up to the first event of the Sustainable Bus Tour 2023, in this occasion in partnership with Sustainable Truck & Van. Title? “EU policy framework & transition to zero emission commercial vehicles”. It’ll be broadcasted on Monday 17th April at 15.00 CET.

A new format: the VideoSpotlight

But don’t expect a webinar this time: our goal is to give a clear picture of the subject in an agile video reporting with involvement of key stakeholders. The VideoSpotlight format implies a deal: you’ll get an articuluate explanation of the subject in less than one hour. From the live voices of the most relevant organizations and players, able to identify challenges, opportunities, insights.

During the broadcasting we’ll be taking a stock of the regulatory framework and of the technological achievements, trying to highlight the challenges operators and OEMs are dealing with, involving organizations, industry players, leading carriers. Keolis Group, Quantron and Safra will also be represented in the panel.

From the technological point of view, is the zero emission commercial vehicles market growing at the expected pace? Is still mileage the main concern and the main topic? Where are we standing concerning infrastructure’s deployment? What about gas-drives? Is retrofit going to really play a role in the transition of public transport? These are just a few of the questions that will be answered during the 17th April’s VideoSpotlight.
