Windrose electric truck, which was on display at the last IAA at the testing area, is a very promising e-truck model for long haulage. The truck has a battery capacity of 729 kWh, with promised range of 670 km loaded at 49 ton. The electric motors achieve an impressive 1,400 hp.

CEO Wen Han released an interview to Chinese media platform Xinhua. He declared that Windrose is "the first Chinese truck company to have received orders from developed economies like Europe and the United States, as well as the first Chinese truck company to test on four continents."

The test started from a state of charge (SOC) of 51% and reached a maximum SOC of 97%, with a total charging duration of 38.6 minutes. As confirmed by CEO Wen Han, Windrose is expected to set production in Belgium, as well as in the U.S., with the State of Georgia identifies as the right place to do that. The Chinese start up claims over 6,000 pre-orders, mainly coming from major U.S.-based companies.

This fast-charging technology enables Windrose long-haul EV truck to replenish around 400 km of range (full load of 49 tons) in under 36 minutes, and is a critical part of the decarbonization strategy of Decathlon China.
