SymphonHy is Europe's largest integrated site producing hydrogen fuel cells, with a production capacity of 50,000 fuel cell systems a year to be reached by 2026. Over 450 engineers are involved in the gigafactory.

Production was immediately halted and the site secured. According to Symbio, "there was no link with the hydrogen. Investigations are underway, in close collaboration with the authorities, to carry out an in-depth analysis of the facts".

According to Stellantis, the announcement is a significant step in the decarbonization of the mobility industry and illustrates Symbio’s technological excellence in hydrogen fuel cell innovations.

The agreement "will accelerate the development of GAUSSIN's range of hydrogen vehicles with the integration of SYMBIO's customized H2 solutions in its ATM vehicles", as stated by GAUSSIN, which will employ SYMBIO StackPack proprietary fuel cell systems in its vehicles.
