The tender for the future use of battery electric vehicles (BEV) on the first almost 40 routes has now been launched. According to MAN, trucks are supposed to drive up to 165 million kilometres per year in MAN's inbound network. Tests have been carried out with DB Schenker.

The logistics company, headquartered in Saint-Donat-sur-l’Herbasse, France, has ordered over 100 MAN eTGX and eTGS trucks in total, so far. This includes 40 firm orders (35 tractor units and 5 chassis), with an option for an additional 60 vehicles.

The 3000-km tour comprises a total of seven stages. On average, the MAN eTGX covers between 400 and 600 kilometres a day, depending on the route conditions and available charging infrastructure. It will also make a longer stop at the MAN site in Copenhagen to visit the service and sales team there....

The trucks will primarily be used to deliver goods to supermarkets, and will complement Cornelissen's fleet, which already includes around 600 heavy-duty trucks and 100 vans.
