Result of a joint investment by the DOE and PACCAR, the SuperTruck 2 demonstrator vehicle unveiled by Kenworth (a PACCAR company) at ACT Expo was developed over a six-year period as part of a collaboration with the Department of Energy’s (DOE) SuperTruck program.

Kenworth’s T680 Hydrogen FCEV, DAF’s XD Battery Electric Vehicle, Peterbilt’s SuperTruck II, as well as PACCAR Parts’ Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions are available for customers and visitors in Las Vegas.

The proof-of-concept project will help Nissan and its logistics partners understand more about the use of all-electric trucks for vehicle delivery. Following the initial trial with four BEV car hauler trucks, Nissan plans to deploy additional trucks in the Los Angeles area.

Kenworth, belonging to the PACCAR Group, has received relevant order from Jack Khudikyan, owner of AJR Trucking and MDB Transportation, who bought 15 Kenworth T680E and 10 Kenworth K270E BEV trucks.
