Skyworth Auto will make its first appearance at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover with five next-generation commercial vehicles. The line-up will include the global premiere of the Skyworth Z9, a new battery-electric heavy truck combining Level 4 autonomous driving with intelligent connectivity.

Quantron also presented its results from the past year as well as its plans for 2023. In 2022, the company recorded a turnover of around 13 million euros. For 2023, a sales revenue guidance of around 45-60 million euros is planned with a target order volume of 360 vehicles.

According to the manufacturer, the FCEV trucks are expected to put in over 100,000 miles per year, to support the round-the-clock operations. The vehicles will be fueled at the previously announced hydrogen station in Ontario, California.

GP JOULE will make the 100 Nikola trucks available to its customers in transport and logistics. The order is subject to GP JOULE’s successful application for KsNI funding, Germany’s program to support the acquisition of vehicles with alternative, climate-friendly drives.

The fuel cell electric truck is scheduled to be launched in India in 2023. The hydrogen powered vehicle will weigh 55 tons, have three hydrogen tanks, a 200-km working range, and powered by Ballard’s 120 kW PEM fuel cell technology.

The first vehicle to be used for commercial operations in the Middle East is a 4x2 XCIENT Fuel Cell truck delivered to Colmobil, equipped with a 180-kW hydrogen fuel cell system that can travel over 400 km on a single charge.

The hydrogen truck protoype was able to repeatedly cross the Brenner Pass, one of the main arteries of European freight traffic at the border between Austria and Italy. More test drives in mountainous terrain are planned for the coming year.
