The JV is now supposed to commence financing the development of electrolyser capacity across the Nordics with a special emphasis on servicing the rapidly growing market within the EU. Everfuel owns 51% of the JV and Hy24-managed Clean Hydrogen Infrastructure Fund holds 49%.

The hydrogen was produced from the first set of electrolyser stacks as part of the planned start-up and testing of production equipment at the 20 MW HySynergy facility. The small amount of hydrogen produced was safely vented into the atmosphere with no environmental impact.

The Volvo fuel cell trucks will be tested in Northern Sweden and in Spain to expose the vehicles to both extremely cold and warm operating conditions. During the testing period Everfuel will provide a moveable hydrogen station to refuel the trucks at both test locations.

Hynion is set build the hydrogen stations for the future in Västerås and Jönköping. Everfuel Sweden AB has received about 7.5 million euro grant for building three hydrogen refuelling stations around the cities of Helsingborg, Luleå and Sundsvall.
