The two Freightliner eM2 Class 7 trucks indeed complement the company's existing fleet, as the battery-electric eM2 trucks with 26-foot-long box bodies will operate out of PITT OHIO's Cleveland, Ohio terminal and support the company's Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight shipping business.

The BEV Dealer Certification Program, which covers over 75 specific criteria in four key areas, which are: Safety, Charging infrastructure, Dealership infrastructure and Training. Eight dealerships have already completed the rigorous certification and the number is doubling in the coming weeks.

"Our in-house developed e-axle is a fundamental piece in our long-range products. We will get more space for batteries, which is good. Another key aspect is having good battery technology in order to have high-performance electric trucks", Jan Hjelmgren told us.

Windrose electric truck, which was on display at the last IAA at the testing area, is a very promising e-truck model for long haulage. The truck has a battery capacity of 729 kWh, with promised range of 670 km loaded at 49 ton. The electric motors achieve an impressive 1,400 hp.
