Sustainable Truck of the Year 2024: the Tractor category

Three road ‘giants’ are set to vie for the 2024 award, starting with the Volvo FH460 I-SAVE, to date the highest point in terms of performance and efficiency achieved by the Swedish Brand’s iconic model. The MAN TGX 18,520 is the fresh holder of the overall record in the Vado e Torno 500 km Supertest, breaking the historic 4 km/liter threshold for the first time. Completing the trio is the Renault Trucks T480 TC, which, by adopting the turbocharging technology, achieves a decisive step change precisely with a view to optimizing fuel consumption.

Three finalists in the Distribution category

The DNA inherited from the XG Series, combined with true leader content, makes the DAF XD Electric the flagship model in the electric range that DAF is beginning to offer in the market. The Volvo FE Electric rests on a now significant experience in alternative drives by the Swedish Brand and will now be enhanced by more ‘muscular’ battery packs to increase the vehicle’s range. Championing versatility is the FUSO eCanter, now in its second generation and now made modular in its choice of battery capacity.

Three iconic models run in the Van category

The finalists start from the Ford E-Transit Courier, Ford Pro’s little one with a bold and elegant design and powered by a 136-hp electric motor. IVECO fields its eDaily, now in its second generation with the MY24 unveiled last November and improved especially in safety features. Finally, the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, heir to the legendary Bulli with electrified drive that has been making inroads into the market since its release.
