The new charging hub is situated on a 10,000 sqm plot in Ödeshög, a prime location 260 km from Stockholm and 350 km from Malmö along the heavily trafficked E4 motorway. Milence, the joint venture between Daimler Truck, the TRATON GROUP and Volvo Group, has recently announced its second charging hub in Sweden, located in Ödeshög. The new charging hub is situated on a 10,000 sqm plot in Ödeshög, a prime location 260 km from Stockholm and 350 km from Malmö along the heavily trafficked E4 motorway. This hub is next to a number of important facilities and a new logistics center is under construction nearby, enhancing its strategic importance.
Due to its location, the hub will serve as a crucial link in electrifying the key route between Stockholm and Malmö. The previous Milence charging hub in Sweden was announced earlier in April and will be located in Varberg.
Milence chooses Sweden, once again. More details about the project
As for the Ödeshög hub, Milence foresees two different phases. In the first one, the company will launch with 8 charging bays equipped with high-performance Combined Charging System (CCS) chargers, each capable of delivering up to 400 kW of power. Later on, Milence will expand the facility to 16 charging bays and is planned to incorporate Megawatt Charging System (MCS) technology for faster and more reliable charging solutions.
