FLYNT is the name of the new electric van manufacturer born last year (in 2024) and headquartered in the Netherlands (here’s the link to the official website). So far, we know quite little about the company, founded by electric mobility specialist Daniel Kirchert, boosting top positions at primary carmakers such as Nissan and the BMW Group.

The newborn FLYNT relies on a partnership agreement with Chinese Miraco Motors, part of GAC Group, which “shares our vision for a cleaner, more sustainable future”, as written by Kirchert. “Their cutting-edge technology in light commercial electric and autonomous vehicles perfectly aligns with our goal”.

FLYNT: the reasons why the company was founded by Daniel Kirchert

“After nearly two decades in China, upon my return to Germany three years ago, I was astonished to see that electrification in Europe and especially in the transport sector was lagging far behind”, added Kirchert in a message published on LinkedIn. “So, I thought: Why not design the perfect electric van that checks all the boxes for these customers and bring it to the European market at an affordable price, fast? This is where FLYNT comes in”.

The newborn company will soon focus on building a strong service and spare parts ecosystem. The launch date for market introduction is 2026, with the hope to introduce the vehicle prototype by the end of 2025.

Some interesting features, as announced so far

The electric vehicles to be developed by FLYNT are based on a new architecture. Here are the major features, according to the company’s founder:

  • Energy efficiency with a consumption of 20 kWh/100 km
  • Scalable architecture for different use cases (8.7 m³ to 16.5 m³ volume)
  • Range of up to 500 km with a 100 kWh NCM battery pack
  • Fast charging speed > 200 kW DC & 22 kW AC
  • Payload ranging from 1 ton to 6 tons
  • Digital connectivity supported by advanced ADAS

The electric vans will be “carefully developed for the unique needs of Europe”, as well as “fit for purpose at every level” by MiracoMotors, as reported by Electrive. “Our collaboration with MiracoMotor is a model of trust and long-term co-operation. Together, we have created a product that is both technologically advanced and perfectly aligned with the expectations of European customers”, said FLYNT COO Rogan Liu, part of the company’s top management along with Laura Peschke and Moritz Klinkisch.
