Stellantis’ brand FIAT Professional has commenced production of the E-Ducato, the all-electric version of the celebrated FIAT Professional Ducato, at the Atessa plant in Italy. According to the company, this is “a significant step in sustainable commercial vehicle manufacturing”.

FIAT Professional E-Ducato: brand-new battery technology

Designed entirely in-house, the E-Ducato features the new 110-kWh second-generation battery, ensuring an impressive range of up to 424 km in the WLTP cycle, according to FIAT Professional. The Atessa production facility, established in 1979 as a joint venture between FIAT and PSA-Peugeot Citroën, began operations in 1981 near Chieti, Italy. Spanning over 1.2 million square meters, this iconic plant is the largest and most adaptable light commercial vehicle facility in Europe, with the capacity to produce up to 1,200 vehicles daily. Currently, 80% of its production is exported to 75 countries, underscoring the plant’s international significance.
