Chinese electric truck maker Windrose is getting stronger. The newborn manufacturer has just announced a new, significant financing round led by HSBC. The recent beginning of truck production in China is now backed by a total amount of US $196 million.

According to what Windrose wrote on its LinkedIn account, “this financing will primarily help the company scale production and delivery globally in China, North America, Oceania, and Europe, as Windrose Technology recently began delivery of its 670km long-range EV class 8 truck to Kerry Logistics”.

Additionally, the most recent addition of financing was led by US$50 million from HSBC on top of its previously committed $20 million. Windrose, which is currently working with several important global customers like CEVA Logistics, Decathlon, Kerry Logistics, just to name a few of them, is also supported by Chinese banks, including the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
