UTA Edenred and Daimler Truck have agreed to continue their successful partnership for the on-road supply of Heavy Goods Vehicles of the Mercedes-Benz Trucks brand and to extend the public charging offer to further countries.

In particular, UTA Edenred provides charging card for public charging of Mercedes-Benz Trucks e-trucks in the UTA charging network. Following the initial launch in Germany, Austria and France, the charging card will be made available to customers in Italy, Spain and other European countries in the coming months.

Daimler Truck finding new ways to make e-mobility easier

As part of the agreement, UTA Edenred issues two Mercedes ServiceCard cards for Mercedes ServiceCard GmbH & Co. KG. The cards, which feature a UTA Edenred/Mercedes-Benz Trucks co-brand design, include the Mercedes ServiceCard charging card, and the Mercedes ServiceCard fuel card. The first provides drivers of battery-electric Mercedes-Benz trucks with access to UTA Edenred’s rapidly growing public charging network, which currently comprises around 300 truck-compatible charging stations in 28 countries, including Milence fast-charging stations.

The second gives Daimler Truck customers with their Mercedes-Benz trucks access to UTA Edenred’s network of multi-brand fuel stations across Europe, which features more than 68,000 facilities in 37 countries.

Statements from the partners

“Through our continued cooperation with UTA Edenred, we’re retaining a tried-and-tested solution for our customers and their Mercedes-Benz trucks. The fuel and charging cards provide our customers with seamless mobility in almost 40 countries. Not just for charging, refuelling and tolls, but also in the event of a breakdown. When visiting a Mercedes-Benz Trucks Service workshop, the cards offer a cashless solution to getting back on the road as quickly as possible”, commented Christian Velleuer, CEO of Mercedes ServiceCard.

Pierre Jalady, General Manager of Edenred Mobility EMEA and CEO of UTA Edenred, added: “The extension of the Mercedes ServiceCard fuel and charging card offering continues a successful partnership that has existed between UTA Edenred and Daimler Truck for over 20 years. I’m particularly pleased with the joint focus on electromobility, which will further shape the transformation in the European transportation and logistics sector.”
