‘Generational transition’ at Daimler Truck. Karin Rådström replaces Martin Daum as CEO
Former Mercedes-Benz Trucks CEO, Karin Rådström, is about to replace Martin Daum from October 1st. Rådström has been appointed in this function until January 31, 2029. Martin Daum will remain as full member of the Board of Management until December 31, 2024, to support a smooth handover.
Daimler Truck will have a new CEO. Former Mercedes-Benz Trucks CEO, Karin Rådström, is about to replace Martin Daum from October 1st. As stated by Daimler Truck itself, it is a generational transition at the top of the global automotive group. Mrs Rådström has been appointed in this function until January 31, 2029. Martin Daum will remain as full member of the Board of Management until December 31, 2024, to support a smooth handover.
Who’s Karin Rådström, the new Daimler Truck CEO
Karin Rådström joined Daimler Truck’s Board of Management in 2021 and since then has been responsible for Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Within a short period of time, the trained engineer has successfully reshaped the segment profitability and advanced its transformation towards sustainability. Before joining Daimler Truck, she oversaw Sales & Marketing as a member of the Executive Board at Scania. For the time being, Karin Rådström will remain responsible for Mercedes-Benz Trucks until her succession will be decided.
