CATL, the world’s largest battery manufacturer, to launch new products at IAA 2024

The Chiese battery giant is highly focused on the European heavy-duty electric vehicles market, with the target to supply battery packs capable to provide trucks and buses with the longest possible range.

The Chinese company CATL, currently the world’s largest battery manufacturer, will participate in IAA 2024, Hannover, holding a press conference and talking about the new products to be added to their portfolio. The Chiese battery giant is highly focused on the European heavy-duty electric vehicles market, with the target to supply battery packs capable to provide trucks and buses with the longest possible range.

CATL at IAA 2024: fast charging and battery swapping

In Hannover, Libin Tan, Chief Customer Officer & Senior Vice President and Aleksej Kruekov, Chief Engineer present the revolutionary CATL battery system for e-trucks and e-buses for the first time in Europe. In addition to batteries capable to stand super fast charging, CATL is working on battery swapping solutions, with the establishment of a robust network of swap stations for fleet customers. This technology has been tested and used mainly in China, We’ll know more about CATL’s plans to bring them to Europe.
