The overall sales of the brands belonging to the TRATON Group overcame for the first time 300,000 units (+12%), including trucks, buses and vans. Incoming orders declined by 7%. Scania, MAN, Volkswagen C&O fell by 6 to 10%, Navistar sold almost 70,000 trucks.

Talking about zero-emission commercial vehicles (or new-energy light trucks), Farizon managed to reach a market share of 23.4% in China in 2022. This year, the Chinese manufacturer is going to approach the European market with its SuperVAN model.

In 2022, despite ongoing global challenges in the areas of parts supply and logistics, 411,000 units were handed over to customers worldwide, 4% more vans with the three-pointed star, of which around 14,700 were eVans (+15%).

Jonathan Wood, Vice President of New Power Engineering at Cummins, will succeed Jim Fier as Chief Technical Officer, effective April 1. Fier has decided to retire at the end of March 2023 after a 36-year career with the company.
