The Renault Trucks heavy duty vehicles assembly plant in Bourg-en-Bresse is celebrating 60 years of industrial excellence. Inaugurated in 1964 by Paul Berliet, the Renault Trucks plant specialises in the production of long-haulage and construction trucks. The site has currently nearly 2,000 employees.

Renault Trucks’ French plant has manufactured close to a million trucks, including the emblematic Renault Magnum. Since 2013, the plant has been manufacturing the Renault Trucks T (long-haulage), C (construction), and K (heavy construction) models. Today, the site is also home to a workshop specialising in the conversion of used trucks, called the Used Trucks Factory.

Bourg-en-Bresse: also electric trucks since last year

Talking about electric trucks, in the celebrated plant, last year Renault Trucks has started series production for the Renault Trucks E-Tech T (for regional distribution) and E-Tech C (for construction), the latest additions to the manufacturer’s all-electric range.

To celebrate this anniversary, Renault Trucks, in collaboration with the Bourg-en-Bresse Tourist Office, is offering exclusive guided tours of the 120-hectare facility. This is a rare opportunity for the public to explore six decades of industrial excellence and expertise. Here’s the link (in French) to book a tour, on Mondays and Fridays until the end of the year.
